Friday August 20th, Famous Social Media influencer and Rapper Trippie redd released his debut album Trip at Knight. This Album was long awaited by fans of Trippie and happend to be the sequel of his 2018 album, Life’s a Trip. Trippie redd started his Music Career in 2015 and ended up releasing his first album in 2017 titled, A Love Letter to You and ever since Trippie has collabed with many artists and has released 9 projects. Trip at Knight takes a new form of Rap that Trippie has grown called “Rage Beats” and after his hit single with Playboi Carti that released in May titled “Miss the Rage”, Trippie Redd and his Rage beats has been loved by fans all around the world. These Rage Beats are shown a lot throughout his recent album and the support on all of it has been fairly positive.

Things I enjoyed while listening to the album is the good features on the project, Trippie had gotten a wide variety of artists like SoFaygo, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Ski Mask The Slump God, Juice WRLD, XXXTENTACION, Polo G, Lil Durk, and even Drake. These features all super good and even reaches out to fans of the passed away artists like Juice WRLD, and XXXTENTACION and Trippies songs with these two artists had been leaked and anticipated to release so seeing them on Trip at Knight really reached out to me and made the album more replayable.

Another thing I liked about the album is the actual beats used on the project. These beats seemed super upgoing and really put you into a good mood while listening to the album, yes there may be questionable lyrics used in some songs but the beat keeps the song going and enjoyable. There are somethings I don’t like about this album, the beats are good but they are repetitive and I think that is that brings the album down in rating for me, the beats get boring fast when he uses the same synth on every song and I feel like the Rage beats got overhyped in which made Trippie decide to use them for every song. I feel like the theme of this album could have been the super upgoing beats but it would have also been nice to have some different synths and drums and things like that. The album seems very repetitive and can get boring. Trippie has shown he can do some amazing work on previous projects like A Love Letter to you 1 & 3, and Lifes a Trip.

In my Opinion I think the rating I would give this album is a solid 7/10. There is pro’s and con’s of the album to me, there are some good beats but they are repetitive. I feel like Trippie could have done better on this Album but it’s not his worst. The Production and features are pretty solid and I feel like if he had put some mixture and some unique songs into this project the rating would be better. When I listen to this Album I do have a feeling of Happiness and it puts me into a good mood like it was a project made for fun and The Artist had fun Making it. I would recommend this album to someone because it can be enjoyable if you don’t like repetitive music. My Final thoughts are This Album is good but not good enough to the point where I would say it’s my favorite project by Trippie Redd due to it being Repetitive and some Skippable songs but also having the best features and upgoing vibe. It’s still a good standout from 2021 and all the great Music that has been released this year.
