85 year-old Shirley Curry has been an avid fan of the classic fifth installment of the Elder Scrolls series “Skyrim”, a game beloved by it’s community and praised for its incredible storytelling and incredible RPG game mechanics. Shirley, often referred to as “Skyrim Grandma,” has built a substantial community on youtube with an overall subscriber count of around 970,000. She’s considered to be one of the most wholesome Skyrim content creators to ever grace the platform, and with a huge following that she refers to as her “grandkids” she has become increasingly popular and beloved in the Elder Scrolls community.

But recently the next installment of The Elder Scrolls series was announced, with it’s release date being confirmed to be sometime in 2022. Shirley, being the ripe age of 85, was worried about not being around to play the game upon its release. So her fanbase decided to come up with a way to immortalize her in the Elder Scrolls community, deciding to start a petition to include Shirley in the next installment of the game. The petition took off and with a whopping 50,000 signatures Bethesda (the company in charge of developing the Elder Scrolls game) took action. They took 3D imaging of her face and plan on making her an interactable NPC in Elder Scrolls VI, much to the excitement of fans. Even today Shirley continues to play Skyrim regularly and post videos on Youtube, with her goals this year being that she wants to finish all the pesky miscellaneous quests and maybe even finally reach the incredible 1,000,000 subscribers mark on Youtube. She remains excited and hopeful that she gets to see the next installment of her beloved series, but for now she will continue to please fans with her wholesome Skyrim content and have fun playing her favorite video game.
