The Mortal Instruments may be just right for you or those around you in more ways than one. The books have the perfect amount of action, drama, romance, and fantasy. It has demons, vampires, shadowhunters, warlocks and more. The author, Cassandra Claire, wasted no time twisting Clary’s life from normal to what she thought was fantasy. Not only does the plot focus on Clary Fairchild, but it also follows her best friend, Simon Lewis, Jace Herondale and more. Whether it focuses on their life story and/or journey, their love interests or just who they are as a person, it always seems to be the perfect amount of focus. The story includes great detail and descriptions of what characters look like, what they see and how they feel. Not only is there a novel series, but there’s a show known as Shadowhunters and one single movie called The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones. Unfortunately, both had been cancelled, leaving the show with only 3 seasons and the movie to be a stand alone. You can find the series for free on Freeform and Hulu. Compared to the movie, Shadowhunters casting is almost perfect to how each character is described in the books. If you know you enjoy fantasy and romance, the novel series or films of The Mortal Instruments may be perfect for you.
