Background

On the morning of September 11, 2001 was the day that destroyed the World Trade Center’s twin towers, the Pentagon, and one plane crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, that wasn’t that far from Washington DC. The four attacks were organized by al-Qaeda, an Islamist extremist group. They originated from Saudi Arabia, Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Lebanon. There’s a mystery of why they attacked this country.

World Trade Center Towers

The most famous attack from 9/11 was the Twin Towers. The planes that were hijacked from al-Qaeda crashed into the two tallest buildings in New York, the Twin Towers. From the collision of the planes, both towers collapsed, causing fires and streets to be covered in smoke. There were nearly three thousand people that were killed.

Hundreds of fire departments rushed to the incident. Surrounding the scene, firefighters were trying to stop the fires while going inside to rescue those who were still inside. Cops and firefighters were trying to escort people out of the scene.

Pentagon

The Pentagon was the headquarters for the U.S Department of Defense. The third plane crashed into the Pentagon killing a smaller amount of people, but still left a threat.

Shanksville, Pennsylvania

The attack that was headed to Dc Washington crashed into an empty plot of land. Ended up killing only those on the plane, but saving thousands of lives. The people aboard the plane received news of the attack that happened in New York. Knowing this information they did an heroic act to fight the terrorists who hijacked the plane.
