On the way to the El Diamante vs Dinuba football game at our home field there was a fire at St Johns River. There were about three or four fire trucks on the way there and there was a lot of smoke .On the way into the stadium you could see that the El Diamante side was full of spirit, they were all wearing green and ready for varsity to go on the field.The stadium all stood up while they sung the national anthem, then the teachers announced the homecoming girls’ names and descriptions .The varsity football team ran across the field and the Dinuba team made a huge circle with their entire team with a flag in the middle . The game started with El Diamante kicker, Aaron, kicking off and Dinuba starting with the ball and running with it .The game was starting off slow then the half time came with the marching band on the field and the band playing their song .The school introduced the homecoming girls and nominated Leila Mendez as homecoming queen and the home side cheered for her and blew confetti in the air.The Friday night game was good until El Diamante started losing and eventually lost the game 28-20 .
