With this series about the killer doll returning back and coming soon on October 12th, it will answer some questions people had. Although Chucky has always been released as feature films, this time it’s moving to television. The television show will pick up from the last film, which was Cult of Chucky. For the first season of this show it will have eight episodes and tell a new whole story. The creator of the doll killer and franchise said, “I wanted to bring the series back to its Child’s Play roots, and involve teenagers”. As well as saying “They have more complicated issues that they’re dealing with like bullying. With this first season of the TV series we use Chucky as a metaphor for bullying. And I think in a new way Chucky is the perfect bully because he comes, as he always has in our franchise , in the guise of being your best friend. People will laugh and they will scream in the ways that they expect, but I also hope to make people cry”. Along with Brad Dourif returning to reprise his role as Chucky, other familiar faces will also come back. Like Jennifer Tilly and Dourif’s real life daughter Fiona who plays Nica. As well as fans get to see Alex Vincet return to play as Andy who was in the original Child’s Play and Child’s Play 2 and Elise McCarthy who was the role of Kyle in Child’s Play 2, she was Andy’s foster sister.
