The Toaster

The toaster, just a usual everyday appliance that you probably don’t think about too much unless your bagel starts to burn, however, there is more to this appliance that meets the eye. In 1920 Charles Perkins Strite invented the automatic toaster he applied for on  July 22, 1920, titled “ The world’s first pop-up toaster”. Currently, you can find a pretty cheap toaster for around 30$ on Amazon, but in Japan, they have a 400$ toaster which is the most expensive toaster on the market. This Toaster is the “Mitsubishi Electric Bread Oven TO-ST1-T”. Its only downside is that it can only toast one side of bread at a time. The toaster is powered by nickel, chromium, and iron; they are combined to make nichrome. Nichrome is high heat and high-temperature oxidation-resistant; it is also used in soldering iron, hairdryers, and electric ovens.  The toaster is a very necessary invention for every kitchen as it cooks more than just toast it also includes things such as bagels as well as frozen waffles. However, you should never put Parchment Paper, styrofoam, aluminum foil, plastic, glass bakeware, and coffee mugs. The Toaster is an amazing invention.
