El Diamante High School decorated their campus for the battle for the saddle. They went all out by decorating the offices, and some teachers even decorated their doors!
To get into the school spirit, they had the students do something everyday for the week to get into the spirit of battle for the saddle. Not Everybody did it but there were some creative things that people had. Monday you get to wear cardio or sports day. Tuesday it was don’t make a sound which means you get to wear your pajamas and most people wore sweats, a onesie etc. Wednesday it was a travel light which meant bringing anything but a backpack. The things that students brought were a grill, laundry basket, a basket from Target, and a barber chair who actually gave the students haircuts etc. The students went above and beyond for traveling light and were creative about it. Thursday was a buddy system, find your twin! People were Spongebob and Patrick, Salt and pepper and students wore the exact same outfits to match each other. Last but not least Friday, blend in and you get to wear your Miner clothes and your halloween costumes.
