Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup butter, at room temperature
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅔ cup jam of your choice
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt.
- Using a stand mixer or handheld mixer, cream the butter and sugar together until the butter is soft and whipped. Add the eggs, and mix again until combined.
- Add the vanilla, flour, and salt, and mix well.
- Form dough into a disc, wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes.
- Once the dough has chilled, shape the dough into 1” balls, then press down with your thumb in the center of the ball. Make a double thumbprint into each cookie to form a heart shape.
- Fill the heart indents with the jam of your choice, and bake for 12-14 minutes.
- Always allow cookies to fully cool before eating. Enjoy!
