Lately, I feel like I’m distancing myself from my family because I have been so caught up in my own life doing my own thing and it makes me reminisce about the times where I could just go home and chill and not have to worry about doing anything. Getting older I’ve gained more responsibilities and freedom. Now I go with my friends after school or my boyfriend just to avoid going home and being bored. My sister is never home during the week because of her job and on the side, she sits and the house sits so she doesn’t stay with us as often. During the week I hang out with my friends after school because my work stopped giving me my hours for a bit and I work early on the weekends. Recently I saw I’m back on my normal schedule and it makes me happy to see I’ll be making more money again. Since the holidays are coming up I need to save up to buy presents for my family and friends. This is the first year I’ll be able to buy presents for other people with my own hard-earned money and I’m pretty stoked because I can buy them whatever I want and not have a limit to worry about. Another thing I’m looking forward to is my birthday. This year I’m turning eighteen and I have high hopes for this year of my life because I think it will be my most memorable year yet.
