Resident Evil 8 Village Wiki & Strategy Guide

Resident Evil Village (Also known as Resident Evil 8) is the latest release in the long-lasting series Resident Evil. It’s part of a trilogy with 2017’s Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (referred to as Biohazard throughout), and the upcoming 2024-25 release of Resident Evil 9. I was very excited for this game since Biohazard was one of my favorite games of the modern generation with a constantly intriguing story and an always-changing dynamic with your enemy. After seeing just how great that game was I couldn’t help but be excited for the next in the series which would come about four years later with this very game. I avoided trailers and news of any kind because I knew if they learned anything from Biohazard, this was gonna be great. I couldn’t be more right.

The story begins as we are dropped back into the life of Biohazard’s hero, Ethan Winters, as he is now getting used to a normal life three years after the events within the Baker farm during Biohazard, where a common family had gotten infected with a mold that slowly but surely turned each member into unimaginable creatures for Ethan to face to save his Wife Mia. Ethan and Mia have now had a daughter named Rose and live a decent life with Ethan still feeling discomfort from his traumatic adventure, quickly this nice experience is ripped from us as Mia is killed in front of our eyes, Rose is taken away and Ethan is forced along. Ethan then wakes up in a mysterious village knowing nothing but that he must save his daughter at any cost.

With that all set the game simply lets you start exploring the common houses of the village before you are quickly thrown into horde upon hordes of creatures realizing that this village is long gone to any human life, after being chased away by these terrible creatures the game really settles in with its structure, introducing you to the primary antagonist, Mother Miranda and the Four Lords of the village, Karl Heisenberg, Donna Beneviento, Lady Demetriscu, and Salvatore Moreau. Your quest will have you visiting each lair one by one and defeating that area’s Lord before collecting key parts to progress to the next, it becomes such a comforting path through the world that when it’s changed up in the slightest it brings discomfort as to what’s next.
