Physical Appearance

 The most unique features of the red panda are you used for camouflage within the canopy of fir trees. They have large, round heads and they have very small snoots. They also have very fluffy large ears. They have white reddish-brown tear marks that extend from their eyes to the corner of their mouth. They believed that these markings have evolved from the time to help get the sun out of their eyes. Their tails have an alternating pattern of red and white. 

These animals have a soft dense wool coat. They have dense coats due to keeping themselves warm. Their coat also covers up their four paws which contain very separated toes and retractable nails. They also have very long bushy tails which help them maintain balance. 

They have scent glands on the bottom of their paws to find out if territories are marked by another animal. These scent glands exude a colorless fluid that is odorless to humans to mark territory. They can test different odors by using the underside of their tongue. 

The size of a full-grown adult can be between 8 and 17 pounds. It can be up to 22 through 24 inches long. The tall also can be around 14 to 18 inches long. 

These red pandas can live up to 23 years long. These creatures show their age around 12 to 14 years old. Females will stop breeding at the age of 12. While males are able to continue to breed.
