On October 14th 2021, Lovejoy released their second project titled “Pebble Brain” and it was honestly really good. Pebble brain is the follow up project after their EP titled “Are You Alright?” and both projects have been loved by fans around the world. Pebble Brain consists of 7 songs and was released by the band pretty recently. Lovejoy is a 4 man band consisting of Wilbur Soot, Ash Kabosu, Joe Goldsmith, and Mark Boardman and they got together in 2021 in the United Kingdom and have been making music ever since.
This new album from Lovejoy is absolutely amazing especially after the work they have done before, they took their old style of music but made it different in a way where it is very enjoyable to listen to. One of the most popular members of the band is the lead singer which is Wilur Soot and he is mainly known for his own music and his youtube channel and that’s mainly how Lovejoy is so popular but the rest of the members are equally as good in the band and they all play there own role in the music. Thi new album gives you a very joyful vibe throughout listening to it.
Some good things from this album are just the vibe and the songs in the album. There are a lot of good tracks in this project but some standout ones are “Oh yeah you gonna cry?, Concrete, Perfume, and It’s all futile! It’s all pointless!”. All the tracks in the album are good but those are ones that really stand out to me. The beats and just the music in general throughout this album is just amazing and it gives you such a good vibe while listening to it and throughout every song it gives you this happy vibe and just has that amazing pop/rock sound.
Pebble brain is the perfect band album and I like it a lot especially for it being a 2021 album and it is definitely one of my favorites albums released this year and that is not a rap album. Lovejoy is a pretty recent band and they are starting out really good when it comes to being a new band and we can just take a moment to talk about the EP “Are you alright?” because it is only four songs but it has the same feeling that Pebble brain has and it is on the same level of talent and production that Pebbl Brain had and some standout tracks from Are you alright? Are “One Day, Taunt, and Sex Sells” and I think Are you alright? Is a very good starting out project from Lovejoy.
In my honest opinion I would give Lovejoys “Pebble Brain” a 10/10. I know I have given a lot of 10’s this year but this is just a very good year for music especially when it comes to Lovejoy. This album is actually super good and I recommend that everyone listens to it because it is a very good album and gives you good feelings throughout the album and just everything about it is great, the songs, the beats, the production, the lyrics, everything about this album is amazing. This album was most definitely one of the best projects released this year and I can’t wait to see what Lovejoy has in mind next.
