School Shooting

Recently there was a school shooting at Oxford high school in Michigan. There were four students killed and seven injured. Today at school we went on lockdown. Sadly school shootings happen all the time and so many sweet souls are lost. Not even a week after school started a shooting threat was made and half the school missed. Again right before finals week, another threat was made and again half the school missed. Students shouldn’t have to stay home to feel safe. Students should be able to feel safe at school and not feel like their life is at stake constantly. This is why gun control should be made. Guns were not made for protection, guns were made to kill and today that’s still true. There need to be stricter laws on guns because of how much damage they do to the world. A parent should never get a call saying their child died from a school shooting. Parents should feel safe sending their kids to school, and students should feel safe attending school. There needs to be a change. Now.
