ANALYSIS

Malice K’s song “Beautiful People”  is a song about the fear of letting go and the manipulation of the one you love most, it explains the ridicule our protagonist endures from his partner and his fear to fight back because his love runs too deep. The song describes a character who is conflicted with his own feelings because of the mistreatment he’s been given, this is shown when he sings the line “I misunderstood, you say I’m not good. You don’t know the first thing about me at all.” The lyric lightly indicates that the “Beautiful People” may have made him feel worthless than he is. The next verse states “Still I want you to call. I need you to call. I want you to call me. I know that you won’t.” this shows that the other he is referring to doesn’t care enough to even give him the time of day but his infatuation drives him to them even more. In conclusion “Beautiful People” tells a sad story about an unrequited love yet to be returned.
