El Diamante High School is a place where athletics take flight and try to reach for the stars. Athletes cannot fly high and prosper unless an experienced pilot takes the wheel. Throughout the generations of El Diamante athletes that have made their mark on the world of athleticism; they wouldn’t have been able to do so if the athletic programs on our campus were not run correctly. An athletic director is one who tries their best to create a safe, prosperous, athletically inclined environment where students are able to push their potential to the max. As most people know Jake Kiser is no longer El Diamante’s A.D. With this being said, a new age in athletics has begun, and with this new age comes a new A.D. El Diamante’s new athletic director is Kimberly Mirwald. Mrs. Mirwald has proved herself throughout the years to be the best candidate for this position. Mirwald has been working here since the beginning of the school. She excels in the areas of sports medicine, psychology, athletic intelligence, social interaction, and the leadership it takes to run a successful athletics program. She is also the first-ever female athletic director in VUSD history. Kimberly Mirwald is more than qualified for this honorable position and she continues to help El Diamante athletics grow and rise to the top once again.
