Tension has been high in the weeks leading up to the Superbowl between competing teams’ fans, some taking their loyalty much too far.

In the game between the 49ers and the Rams at the SoFi stadium, a suspect was arrested in the parking lot of the stadium after getting into a fight during the NFC Championship game. The 33-year-old man was arrested for causing great bodily harm, but ended up being released on a $30,000 bail and, according to the mayor, will still be presenting to prosecutors.

The 40-year-old, male victim was placed into a medically induced coma, to prevent internal bleeding, after having been struck before falling to the floor and hitting his head. His condition has yet to improve or worsen.

It seemed that there didn’t seem to be any hostility from the victim. He attempted to walk away before he was pushed and turned around, being hit as he looked. It was said that the altercation lasted less than 5 seconds.

Although, the video still isn’t clear enough to get much information but he was seen talking to people in his car. The mayor already decided that there will not be increased security as a result of the fight and that he feels very confident about the security they already have.
