Sofia Jirau First Model with Down’s syndrome to be in Victoria’s Secret Campaign

Sofia Jirau who is Puerto Rican is the first model with Down’s syndrome for Victoria’s Secret. She along with 17 other women were a part of the brand’s Love Cloud Collection on Valentine’s Day to model a line of underwear. On her Instagram, she stated, “One day I dreamed of it, I worked on it and today it is a dream come true”. As well as stating, “I can finally tell you my big secret. I am the first Victoria’s Secret model with Down’s syndrome!”. She is now the only second Puerto Rican model to star in Victoria’s Secret campaign. The first was Joan Smalls who had started modeling for the brand in 2010. Sofia had begun her modeling career in 2019 and also her own online store called Alavett. And has also started a Spanish-language campaign called No Limits to spread awareness and possibilities for people with Down’s syndrome. Also saying, “Thank you Victoria’s Secret for seeing me as a model who has #NoLimits and making me part of the inclusive Love Cloud Collection campaign”.
