Ugly Love is a heart-wrenching contemporary romance written by the one and only Colleen Hoover. All her writing is beautiful and captivating. Once you pick it up, you can’t put it down. I had recommended her work to one of my good friends, who rarely reads and can’t find a good book. Once she started this, she was hooked. Colleen Hoover can make any non-reader into one. Ugly Love is about our main character Tate, who reluctantly falls in love with Miles. Even after swearing to herself, it was just a mutual physical attraction and they weren’t even friends. She doesn’t have time for love, and he doesn’t want it. It all comes down to love being ugly. Promises get broken, hearts become shattered, and love gets ugly. There’s only one word to describe this book and it’s encaptivating. Even the first chapters will draw you in. I urge you to read this book and her other works. She has also written It Ends With Us and Slammed. Both are great reads.
