One of the nominees of the Supreme Court is Ketanji Brown Jackson. She’s currently 51 with a great amount of experience in all three branches. One of these nominees will be replacing Justice Stephen Breyer from court due to him going into retirement. They set a date at 2pm for a formal ceremony for Ketanji Brown Jackson. Biden and Jackson would both be speaking at this event.
Some background on Jackson. She was born in D.C but she was raised in Miami. She then graduated from Harvard Law School. After that, she wanted to be a part of public service for her community. So she took up having to represent in the legal system as a federal public defender. She will also be the first person to be in the supreme court that has served as a public defender and also be the first justice if she’s picked. From 2010 to 2014 she worked as the vice-chair of the bipartisan U.S. Sentencing Commission. During this life, she met her husband, Patrick Jackson, who both live with each other in Washington D.C. He is currently working in Washington D.C. as a surgeon. They both are raising two children, who are two little girls.
