Banana Bread

Banana bread is something I had a lot of growing up and enjoy even now. My Nana bakes a lot, and this is one of my favorite pastries she has made, especially coming home from school and it has just come out of the oven and is warm. That is perfect. It’s great for any snack or to share and give to your friends. I hope you can try it!

  • 2 to 3 medium (7″ to 7-7/8″ long) very ripe bananas, peeled (about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups mashed)
  • 1/3 cup (76g) butter, unsalted or salted, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup (150g) sugar (1/2 cup if you would like it less sweet, 1 cup if more sweet)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups (205g) all-purpose flour

You’ll want to preheat your oven to 350 and butter a 4 x 8 loaf pan. After this, mash your bananas, melted butter, and the rest of your ingredients. Next, pour your batter into the pan and bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour.
