Seeking Encouraging Words From Elementary School Students

Bay area students from West Side Elementary School in Healdsburg, California made a “Peptoc” hotline. It is designed to offer positive and encouraging mantras to help everyone during this trying time. The idea of it all was inspired by Jessica Martin, a local artist who is also the art teacher at the school. Martin expected it to bring small smiles and lift a few hundreds of spirits in Healdsburg and the community. In less than a week, the project has gone viral, receiving between 300 and 500 calls an hour, and up to 5,000 calls a day. To hear some of the encouragement words call: 707-998-8410.
