“AntiRacist Baby” by Dr. Ibram X. Kendi is now a number one bestseller in numerous categories on Amazon after Senator Ted Cruz attacked the book.

During the confirmation hearing for US Supreme Court Nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, Senator Ted Cruz asked for her stance on the book being implemented at Georgetown Day School, where Jackson is on the board. Hours after the remarks, “Antiracist Baby” became the number one bestseller on Amazon in multiple children’s book categories. “Antiracist Baby” is a picture book that empowers “parents and children to uproot racism in our society” and in themselves. “Antiracist Baby” is said to layout “nine steps to make equity a reality” as it portrays kid-attracting illustrations of diverse, happy babies and parents in fun situations. Kendi proclaims that children are not born racist but learn racist attitudes from an early age from the world around them. To depict and characterize this issue, Kendi writes, parents and caregivers should help children learn to be anti-racist.
