Self Worth: A War On The Mind

Our minds can be an extremely toxic and dangerous place.

People tend to look at themselves in a negative manner repeatedly. Some individuals will look in the mirror and constantly compare themselves to people who have it better than us. People want to maintain a public image that compares to stereotypical body types or lifestyles.

The one thing many people tend to forget in the process of self-love is the ability to admire ourselves and put ourselves on a pedestal.

If we ever want to feel good about ourselves and be mentally satisfied, we need to count our blessings and list our successes.

Nobody is a failure.

There are traits and motives that all people endure that make us special and unique. You may win a competition here or get a good grade there, but our greatest successes lay within the process in which we give ourselves credit. A large number of individuals feel they lack the recognition they deserve for their accomplishments, but they are not getting the point. It is within ourselves that we can find true success. When you give yourself recognition and allow yourself to receive recognition from others; there’s no higher achievement in the world that can top that feeling. Our darkness and despair can be overrun by our recognition, positivity, and confidence.

Our minds might have the power to win a battle, but our hearts have the power to end a war.

Life is like an automobile. The dark side of our conscience may have a foot on the gas, but we steer the wheel.
