birds come and go
we put out seeds for them to eat
they fly into the backyard and find a seat
each different sizes, different colors, and different beaks
they come and go
but one stands out
it soars down from the sky and onto the pavement
it wobbles and hops
Its head bobbing as it moves
it has one leg
one single leg
despite its single leg, it flies to the fence
it tries to perch but it’s hard to balance
it goes forward and back but it isn’t afraid
it tries and tries and eventually makes way
so no matter how difficult it may get
don’t give up
remember the one-legged bird
and eventually, you’ll be able to achieve even the most challenging tasks
