I had been preparing my whole life for the moment that my sister was going to leave, and college has brought us to that moment. My sister and I are only two years apart, growing up we have always been close. When my sister was starting kindergarten I wanted to go with her and never leave her so my mom bought me my own mini backpack as if I was going too. Alyssa and I have gone through a lot together, but aside from the normal everyday sister arguments, I couldn’t imagine life without her. It has only been a few days since my sister left but I already miss her, almost as much as her dog, Bear. I am excited for my sister to experience new things and I know she will be so successful at U.C. Merced!
