Extreme Heat

California is currently in a record-breaking heat wave. People all over have been suffering from these uttermost temperatures. Due to the heat, Californians were asked to turn off unnecessary power, this was because the extreme heat was straining the state energy grid. Thousands of people in northern California had lost power throughout the day. The state capital of California, Sacramento, was found with an all-time high temperature of 116 degrees Fahrenheit.  The Bay Area is also reaching record-breaking temperatures and unfortunately, most of them don’t even have an air conditioner due to their normally cool weather. These maximum temperatures have also sparked wildfires in the state of California, two just recently started on Friday in both Northern California and Southern California. A total of four people have already died from the flames. Thankfully the weather should be cooling down soon, this Saturday even has a low of 87 degrees Fahrenheit.
