In Puerto Rico, there was a massive hurricane called the ¨Hurricane Fiona¨ that finished Puerto Rico and is leading towards Bermuda, and by Friday may lead to Atlantic Canada. The hurricane had waves around 50 feet tall that were discovered by a drone called the “Saildrone” from the national hurricane center. There was a hurricane that happened before Fiona called hurricane Maria that caused Puerto Ricans to struggle, then came the hurricane, Fiona. The aftermath of hurricane Fiona caused many residents without power, water, and medical supplies which caused many people to become unsupportive and helpless. Businesses, grocery stores, and gas stations were closed due to power outages. Puerto Rico’s Department of Consumer Affairs had disruption of the system from the flooding, landslides, and power outage. 80% of Puerto Rico’s crops were destroyed, when there was a success of coffee crops being transferred to other places but the coffee crops then got destroyed by the hurricane. That led to a decrease in coffee. Eventually, Puerto Rico started to recover with Joe Biden committing to act with the full force of the federal government to help Puerto Rico, which is still being fixed.
