Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon of prepared mustard
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ¾ cups of dry bread crumbs
  • 2 teaspoons of dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 pound of chicken tenderloins

Tools for cooking

  • Bowls for dredging
  • Whisk
  • Tongs
  • Baking sheet
  • Wire cooling rack

Prep

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Then in a bowl, combine the egg, mustard, and minced garlic with your whisk. Then in another bowl mix the bread crumbs, basil, paprika, salt, and pepper.

Dredging the Chicken

Give the tenderloins a good pat with a paper towel so the bread crumbs can easily stick to the chicken. After you pat down the chicken, use your tongs to dip it into the egg mixture, and then put the chicken in the bread crumbs and gently press the chicken into the bread crumbs with the tongs. After covering the chicken with bread crumbs, move the chicken to a cooking sheet sprayed with cooking spray and repeat this with the other pieces of chicken.

Baking the Chicken

Once all the chicken has been breaded you can then start baking the tenders in the preheated oven. The chicken should take 10-15 minutes or until the chicken is no longer pink and it has reached 165 degrees. When they’re done hacking in the oven take them out and put them on a wire cooking rack and let it cool for a few minutes. Once it is cool enough to touch, serve this with your favorite sauce and sides, and enjoy your easy tenders.
