Hurricane Ian, Devastation and Loss

As you’ve probably heard already, there has been a category 4 hurricane hitting Florida, and now in the past couple of hours, it has hit South Carolina. Over 1.9 million people have been affected without power. On Wednesday night, around 33,300 people sought refuge from this horrendous hurricane and 2.5 million people were under mandatory evacuation orders. We’re not sure as to who followed the order and who didn’t. As reported 21 minutes ago from NBC news, there have been 21 recorded deaths so far. Anywhere you live there is a risk of death and destruction. Once reality hits, it’s so hard to evacuate and get somewhere safely. All we ask is that we pray for those in Florida, those who have been affected by the hurricane already, and those who will be affected later on. Make sure you’re donating to evacuation centers and to those in need. It doesn’t have to be a lot. We are a united nation, when one part of our country falls into devastation we need to be there for comfort and to help as much as we can.
