Tres Leches Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp of salt

Milk glaze:

  • 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 can of condensed milk

1 can of evaporated milk

Whipped topping:

  • 2 cups of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla 

Topping

  • Fresh sliced strawberries

Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a medium size baking pan.
  • In a small mixing bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside afterward.
  • In a medium size bowl, cream together butter and add sugar gradually and mix till fluffy. Mix in the vanilla and add one egg at a time.
  • Then add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well.
  • Pour the batter into the pan and put it in the oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let the cake cool completely and then with a fork, poke the cake all over.
  • Mix all the milk glaze ingredients together and pour over the cake slowly to let it absorb all the glaze.
  • Refrigerate the cake for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Whipped Topping Directions:

  • Whip the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla together until stiff peaks.
  • Spread over the cake and add sliced strawberries on top. 
  • Finally, eat and enjoy!
