Halloween Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ cup of powdered sugar 
  • 1 cup of butter
  • One large egg 
  • 1 tsp of almond extract
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 6 drops of green food coloring
  • 2 ¾ of flour
  • 1 tsp of salt 
  • ¾ sliced almonds 
  • ½ cup of jelly 

Directions 

  1. In a large bowl start beating the powdered sugar and butter together for about 2-3 minutes 
  2. Add the egg and continue to beat it 
  3. Add the almond and vanilla extract and food coloring 
  4. In a separate bowl whisk together the flour and salt 
  5. Start putting your line sheets on the baking pans, remove about a quarter of the dough and form it into small balls and form it into little fingers 
  6. Start to make the little decorations on the fingers to make realistic 
  7. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and let them cook for 10 minutes
  8. Lift up the almonds and put them back on the finger 
  9. Dip the finger in some jelly or jam, whatever you prefer.
