I never thought about how much freedom you would get until I got my permit. I actually held off doing driver’s ed for like a year because I didn’t mind having my parents take me everywhere. There are a lot of benefits like choosing when you want to leave rather than depending on other people. You get control of the aux and can blast music as loud as you want. If that’s not convincing enough, think about the fact that you can drive wherever you want. In the mood for a milkshake, go drive to the Habit instead of begging your mom with a 50/50 chance of her actually saying yes.
