By far the best sushi you will be able to find in Visalia is Sushi Kuu, which is found downtown on Main Street. Their hours are from 11 AM-1:45 PM and then they open up again later in the day from 4:30 PM-7:45 PM, on Fridays and Saturdays they are open till 8:45 PM. I have tried many different sushi places, from Fresno to the coast, to Hawaii, and I am still trying to find something better than Sushi Kuu. I don’t know if I am just biased because I have been eating there for many years, but I am not the only one that feels this way. Every night this place is packed, it doesn’t matter what day of the week it is.
My favorite rolls from here are the butterfish roll, the cherry blossom roll, and the green goblin roll. Also, their sashimi and nigiri are amazing as well, and their fresh fish is hard to beat. If you are not a seafood lover, there are other amazing items on their menu for you. They have many different types of ramen, as well as chicken teriyaki bowls, chicken/pork/chicken bento boxes, curry, and lunch rice bowls. All of it is just as good as their fish. My favorite way to end my meal at Sushi Kuu is to order some of their green tea mochi ice cream. It hits the spot every time.
Go out and try Sushi Kuu if you haven’t already! You will not regret it.
