17-year-old David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd (pronounced David), has been making waves over TikTok and other social media platforms for over 3 months now.
D4vd started by making montages for the video game Fortnite and uploading them to YouTube. However, the music used in these videos resulted in copyright claims to his channel. To get around this, David began making his own music to use in these montages. With some songs gaining popularity on TikTok.
On July 18th, 2022, David posted a snippet of a track that was made entirely on an iPhone to TikTok. Gaining over 12.8 Million views, the song Romantical Homicide was released as a single on July 20th, 2022 which resulted in the song rising to #33 on the US Billboard 100 and #4 on the Billboard US Hot Rock & Alternative Songs.
A music video for the track was released on September 7th, 2022, and an acoustic version was released on October 27th, 2022.
