- Lake Tahoe: Very popular and very seasonal to go skiing during thanksgiving break. There is usually snow around mid-November and amazing cabins to stay in to enjoy the snow and still see the lake. They have great restaurants that serve thanksgiving meals with special packages that they include. Having an amazing time with beautiful views.
- Mendocino: a beautiful town, that is along the coast of historical landmarks, that was established in the 1850s with Victorian buildings and adorable saltbox cottages that have fine dining restaurants, cafes, art galleries, and boutiques. They have places that decorate for Thanksgiving like the Little River Inn and so much more.
- Catalina Island: It’s a little weekend escape with great weather all throughout the year. During Thanksgiving break, the weather is a great feeling like summertime. There are so many holiday activities and even thanksgiving traditional meals. Other activities include kayaking, biking, hiking, snorkeling, etc.
- San Francisco: There are so many festivities for the holidays. Including tree lighting ceremonies to kick off the shopping season before Thanksgiving. With fantastic dining options and the Golden Gate Bridge as a gorgeous view.
- San Diego: A sunny holiday that is year-round with amazing weather, there is a great hotel called the Hotel del Coronado that sits across 28 oceanfront acres on Coronado Island with crazy beautiful water views, a spa, and indulge in a buffet filled with Thanksgiving food. Also having performances decorated with holiday decorations.
