On Thursday, Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo announced on social media that she was leaving after 19 seasons on the show. The news of Ellen Pompeo’s departure was in August, she said she was leaving to pursue other opportunities including a Hulu limited series adoption of the 2009 thriller Orphan. Her Grey’s Anatomy character has been positioned for a possible guest appearance in the future. The fall finale saw Grey leave from Seattle for Boston when she accepted a new job to research Alzheimer’s disease.
