Rhino populations are starting to go on the rise. This is a sign that all the work to preserve the species is working. The rhino population has risen to above 1,000 animals.
The population is thriving due to the intensive protection, monitoring, and management of the animals. However it has been a difficult year for rhinos; Due to a temporary lull in poaching, Organized crime has quickly adapted to new challenges, and poaching rates and trade volume has been on the increase again this year.
