Reason Album Monsta x

Starting the new year already a week in, Monsta X had released a new album called REASON with a tracklist of 6 songs in total, with 17 minutes and 47 seconds. They had brought a new way of putting their pieces together by their rhythm as well as having a sort of electrical tone, unlike the last album they had released which would be The Dreaming had more of a settled style like a calming vibe while mixing in with a pop style with upbeats most of their songs talking about cute like relationships. They brought a new approach to this latest album, something like lust. You can hear the way they pronounce their lyrics and the rhythm creating a vengeful tone. Their first song in the tracklist is Beautiful Liar, reading further into the lyrics you can see how it’s a toxic relationship between them and the person they are attracted to, even when they know it’s unhealthy love they continue to want the person more even if they are getting hurt because something about them continues to attract their attention. This then leads to Daydream which also seems to be talking about a person who still had an obsession with their ex-lover even if people had called them crazy; they continue to chase after the person they have lost and continue to believe things can change and they both can be together once again. However, moving to the next song Crescendo we notice that they had found another person they wanted and eventually they got them, the song continues to describe how they will continue to love them even if they don’t fit the person’s expectations. In the next tracklist, Lone Ranger things have taken a turn where they are no longer with the person from before and instead began to live a life of finding anyone they can get and then reject them after, they had changed into a person who uses others for their on reason and once that is finished they leave doing it all over again their emotions only taking over wanting to fill their own needs. In denial, things began to show in the next song Deny they realized that the way they were acting was only because they had missed they missed the person they once loved probably connected to their first song Beautiful Liar, the song describes how they had ignored this feeling wanting to believe it wasn’t true but they realized it was always them they had loved but they didn’t know if they had felt the same way. In the end, they continue to reminisce about the past and how they looked back to how things were. It’s Alright; they talk about wanting to go back and wishing things could be different. They wanted to go back to their first love and knew ignoring their feelings won’t do anything because the memories of certain times they spent together continue to come back and they see them again realizing again they are no longer together which breaks them. They had made a good storyline with the songs just for a short 6 songs and it was an overall 10/10 album, they made it from this bad boy vibe to a sad regretful sad tone which made me feel all sorts of emotions and it made me fall in love with the album.
