A ten-month-old baby and his 16-year-old mother have been identified as the two of the 6 victims shot dead in what is perceived as a cartel-style execution in Goshen, California. The 16-year-old girl Alissa Parraz with her infant son Nycholas Nolan Parraz found in a ditch outside her home, died Monday morning. They were shot in the head, both of them on the floor with the mother cradling the infant in her arms. The police said that the mother and infant were trying to flee from the house. Alissa Parraz’s grandfather was shocked and her mother was heartbroken about losing her daughter with a message to her daughter and grandson, ¨…Mommy loves u and my grandson so much I miss u more than u know, I wish u were here in my hands.” Her grandfather was surprised that anyone would have done that to her, with the fact that some of her family members were also killed. Such as her: uncle, her dad’s cousin, and her grandmother and great-grandmother. From the police reports and witnesses, the police are saying that two gunmen entered her house and started firing off shots, leading her to run out of the house. With evidence that there was a third victim at the front door and three other victims were shot inside the house, with one alive, and rushed to the hospital. Many speculate that this was not a random act, it was targeting the family. Police even said that a week before the shooting they had a search warrant on the house for drugs at the house. Resulting in one arrest and seizure of guns, marijuana, and meth. They are still figuring out the suspects of the shooting.
