Being a Student Athlete

When you think of the words stressful, time-consuming, and exhausting, one might think of a job or choirs. But for all you athletes out there, I know being a straight-A student and playing a sport is hard. Every night not getting home till 8, with loads of homework while trying to get all of your gear ready for the next day, showering and eating is exhausting and stressful, right? Well there are many different coping techniques to help relieve some stress from your busy schedule. You should first take care of your mental and physical health, your well being should be the most important part. Second, take time to unwind from your busy day. Your body is tense and uptight from a long day and relaxing your muscles will help calm your body. Thirdly, take a deep breath, relax, read a book, listen to music, watch your favorite TV show or even talk with a friend. Find the thing that calms you down, so you can be your happiest, healthiest, and calmest self.
