With my junior coming to an end shortly, I have no idea what I want to do with my future. I was made to believe that with my 3.8 GPA, I would not be able to even get into college because I didn’t have AP classes lined up and I wasn’t involved with school activities as much as I should have been. I wasn’t prepared to have the best chance of getting into the college of my choosing. What they don’t tell you is that getting into college is so competitive and just having good grades for a normal non-AP student is not good enough to secure getting into a UC. Even then, I don’t know what I want to major in, even in the slightest. Your freshman year, they tell you it’s going to go by so fast. But I didn’t believe it because it’s 4 whole years. How fast could it really go? Now I’m 17 wondering where the time went. Harvey Mackay once said “Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.” If I could go back and change it I would, but I can’t, time is limited, and we can all change our future. It might not be easy but you can’t give up. If you want it badly enough you will make it happen. Time is precious and once you realize it you’ll live life to the fullest and never take the time you get for granted. You never know how much time you’ll get with certain people or things, you have to use your time to the fullest and never take anything for granted.
