Diego Lainez, a 22-year-old soccer player from Mexico just signed with Tigres(Liga MX). He first ever played for America(Liga MX)in 2017, then joined Mexico’s National team in 2018. After playing for America, Lainez decided to join Real Batis(La Liga) in 2019 and then joined Brauga in July 2022. Diego decided to play for club America when he was scouted by Ángel González. He was then sold to Real Batis for $14 million dollars which made him the youngest player to ever be sold out of Liga MX. Shortly after he was loaned out to Braga but Lainez failed to put up any stats. Because of this, it was that Lainez was left off Mexico’s roster for the 22’ World Cup in Qatar, which then led to him leaving the club in late January of 2023. Diego’s Brother, Mauro told Fox Sports that his brother had offers from both the MLS and Mexico. To which Tigres had interest, he then confirmed the rumors and let it be known that he was officially joining Tigres in Liga MX. Many people expect Lainez to peak again as he didn’t get his breakthrough in Europe.
