TS Album Review: Red (Taylor’s Version)

In honor of Taylor winning a “Best Music Video” Grammy for “All Too Well: The Short Film,” I have chosen to review Red (Taylor’s Version) this week! Red (TV) is the second album to be re-recorded by Taylor and it’s one of my favorites – I know I say that about every album, but I mean it. Swift’s fourth studio album marks the beginning of her genre shift from country to pop; the album is a perfect blend of both genres. As usual, songs will be ranked from my least favorite to my most favorite, and all are Taylor’s Versions!

28. Stay Stay Stay – Very reminiscent of the Fearless era.

27. Sad Beautiful Tragic

26. Ronan – The sweetest, saddest song.

25. Run

24. Better Man – She called out men who do the bare minimum.

23. Babe

22. The Moment I Knew – Jake Gyllenhaal doesn’t do birthdays.

21. State of Grace

20. I Almost Do

19. Begin Again – The older sister of “Clean.”

18. Come Back… Be Here

17. Message In A Bottle – You’re telling me that this was kept in the vault for 8 years?!

16. The Very First Night – Criminally underrated.

15. Treacherous

14. Holy Ground

13. Everything Has Changed – Nothing but pure nostalgia.

12. Starlight

11. I Knew You Were Trouble

10. The Last Time – It’s giving folklore.

9. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together – Flashback to Taylor singing this to Harry Styles at the Grammys several years ago.

8. Girl At Home

7. Red

6. The Lucky One

5. Nothing New – That hit a little too close to home.

4. All Too Well – I’ll forever sing this song like I’m heartbroken, even when I’m in a relationship.

3. 22 – Screw turning 21, I just want to be 22.

2. I Bet You Think About Me – It really deserved a Grammy.

1. All Too Well (10-Minute Version) – If I don’t sing this in a stadium with thousands of swifties and Taylor I don’t know what I’ll do.
