On August 27th, 2001, Icelandic electronic artist Björk released her fourth studio album titled “Vespertine” which is considered one of the best pieces of music to ever be released. Björk is very well known and talented when it comes to Electronic/Experimental music and Björk is very talented which she proves on this record Vespertine. Vespertine is one of the most beautiful projects I have ever heard and the amount of dedication and work put into this album is phenomenal and listening to this record makes you feel like you are on another planet. Vespertine is considered one of the greatest records of all time, it literally defines electronic music and had a huge impact on music and Björk’s career.

When it comes to singing and the power of vocals in music, Björk does it like no other. Björk is considered one of the best female vocalists of the 2000s and has made multiple other projects like “Debut” and “Homogenic” etc. which prove that but I personally believe Vespertine is Björk’s best work and is truly an amazing piece of media. Vespertine is a very calm record with soft but powerful vocals and amazing synths that sound like they were made on a different planet. It takes a while to actually get into Björk’s music but once it finally clicks it will be the most beautiful piece of music you hear and make you question how it was even formed.

Overall I think this project is amazing and perfect in every way, it’s very difficult to find any flaw in this record once you finally listen to it more and more. My personal favorite tracks from this record are Hidden Place, Cocoon, It’s Not up to You, Aurora, Harm of Will, and Unison, but every song is amazing and this record will put you to sleep but not in a boring way. I would give Vespertine by Björk a solid 10/10, this is one of the best albums of all time, and listening to this was definitely an experience and overall it’s just amazing, the strings, the choir, the vocals, everything about this record is phenomenal.
