Moving Towns

Moving to a new community might be one of the most unwanted experiences, especially for kids and teens. But it is very stressful for parents. When I was 15 my family decided to move from a small town to a bigger one. I was excited to finally move out from the place where we lived my whole life. Until it hit me that it’s a whole other town 35 minutes away from home. This meant I wasn’t going to be able to see my friends, not be able to walk around town alone anymore, and many other things were going to change. Moving to a new town meant making new friends, meeting new people, and starting fresh. I’ve been in this new town for about 6 months and I still haven’t made friends like the ones I had. Which I know it takes time. Living in a new place, I have learned that sometimes it’s better to be on your own. Moving to a new town may be hard but at the same time, it’s a good thing to move and start fresh. When you move to a new location you can discover new things. The biggest lesson I got from moving to a new town was that change is always a good thing.
