TS Album Review: 1989

Taylor’s pop debut, 1989, is probably one of her most well-known albums. Chances are you’ve probably heard “Shake It Off” or “Blank Space” a time or two. 1989 isn’t in my top albums, but I still love it. I typically listen to it while I’m working out because it’s so upbeat. Taylor rocked the 1989 era and it was definitely a highlight of the 2010s. Per usual, songs will be listed from my least to most favorite.

16. I Wish You Would

15. Welcome To New York – Taylor owns NYC, you can’t tell me otherwise.

14. All You Had To Do Was Stay

13. Wildest Dreams – Dude I can’t wait to hear this live.

12. You Are In Love – Nobody writes a love song quite like Taylor.

11. Shake It Off – Even my dad loves this song.

10. This Love – Taylor wrote this just for Conrad and Belly.

9. Clean – This is what it feels like to heal.

8. Blank Space – Don’t lie, you were obsessed with this song when it dropped.

7. Bad Blood – The music video is nothing short of iconic.

6. I Know Places – Taylor’s lyrics are stunning.

5. Out Of The Woods – Dear anxiety… Love, Taylor.

4. Wonderland – This one’s for you Harry.

3. New Romantics – Peak 1989.

2. Style – Harry, she wrote another one for you!

1. How You Get The Girl – Boys have no excuse for playing dumb when Taylor spells it out for you, step by step.
