Rogrian Arguments (opinion)

A Rogerian argument is an argument that takes a different approach than what most people have been taught. This method identifies arguments, beliefs, and ideas that you and the audience share together. I value the importance of each side’s opinions because, in normal arguments, people normally judge the other side but with Rogerian arguments, there is no judgment. In the story, The ‘Other Side’ Is Not Dumb former editor-in-chief and author  Sean Blanda argues “When someone communicates that they are not “on our side” our first reaction is to run away or dismiss them as stupid”(8). He insists that people’s first reaction to the other side’s opinion is to not listen to the other argument thoroughly. I can conclude that the Rogerian argument is much more effective, reasonable, and gently disputed.
