Yesterday afternoon we held a ceremony before our game to honor a fallen firefighter and El Diamante Alum, Patrick Jones. Patrick Jones attended El Diamante from 2008 to 2012 and he played varsity baseball for 2 years. Patrick Jones lost his life trying to save people from the 2020 Porterville library fire. We also raised $623 for the Patrick Jones Memorial Firemen’s Fund and secured the win against Monache High School with a score of 3-0. Brandon Petty pitched a complete game while only allowing 2 hits and striking out 11 batters.
